All Moctec Tortillas & Tortilla Chips products are made the authentic way from 100% whole kernel corn. The whole kernel corn is slow cooked, steeped, washed, then wet milled with lava stones. This provides you with a healthy flavorful, “just like homemade” tortilla.

Abuelita Products

Abuelita mixes modern technology with old world techniques to create hand crafted, authentic Mexican corn tortillas and chips. We are dedicated to the tradition of cooking and grinding our own corn. While many companies choose to use the more convenient corn flour, we still use the traditional lava stone wheels from the American southwest to grind our corn. You can taste the Abuelita difference – with every bite and the crunch of every chip!

Quality Assurance

To assure that the quality of Moctec products consistently remain up to the established standards, we have instituted a quality assurance program made up of three steps. First, all ingredients are pre-measured to assure standard recipes are followed. Second, the crew manager monitors all steps of production to insure compliance with quality assurance guidelines. Finally, senior mangers regularly do spot reviews to assure no level of the procedure is being neglected. Plus, regular weekly maintenance is performed to all machines to calibrate them to the manufacturer’s suggested specifications.
